SHIMAKYU: Dolls Crafted With Authentic Japanese Costumes
The tradition we wish to preserve and pass on to later generations

OHINASAMA dolls of SHIMAKYU are skillfully crafted according to ancient traditional techniques.

None of our dolls produced by the Tohso-Gofun-Gihou have the same facial expression. Hiroyuki TAJIMA uses the traditional technique of glazing shell powder onto the paulownia clay mold.

The face of the dolls with smooth, glowing white skin and soft-looking contours, seen from any angle, evokes a pleasant impression.

SHIMAKYU's dolls were exhibited at "Tokyo International Gift Show" held on September 6 - 9, 2005
