Junihitoe, or another word Karaginumoshouzoku, is the splendid, gorgeous costume created by Japanese. SHIMAKYU carefully recreates the ancient costumes.

Ohinasama is a special doll used to ward off evil. It is constructed with stable straight lines and elegant sweep and will not come loose even sitting for a long period.

1.Tailoring

Using SHIMAKYU’s original fabric, the dress patterns are cut out after backing with washi (traditional paper) on double weaving; then the 150 components of each costume are carefully sewn and assembled, one by one.

2.Dressing

The completed costume will be put on the Tohso-body by our special technique.

3.Completed

Then, the head is placed on the body to complete the process.
